PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

2nd SUNDAY of Easter

April 12, 2026

Celebrant: With trust in God’s Mercy, we pray…

Deacon/Reader:

1.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us and his invitation to a more  intimate relationship with him. that Pope Leo XIV as our example of devotion to you will continue to remind the whole world that creation is to be shared by all and cared for by all.

2.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us, that Pope Leo XIV as our example of devotion to you will continue to remind the whole world that creation is to be shared by all and cared for by all.

3.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us and especially toward all priests and ordained ministers of God that they may have courage and strength to live out their vocation even through times of doubt and unbelief.

4.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us, the Body of Christ, that we may devote ourselves daily to the teachings of the apostles, communal life, breaking of bread and prayers individually and together.

5.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us, that Christ comes to all hearts whether fearful or faithful.

6.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us, for the new hope we find in the resurrection that in spite of what we see or experience of the world around us the inheritance we have in Christ is imperishable, undefiled and unfading.

7.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us, for the possibility of peace in our world through the practice of forgiveness and reconciliation for which we have been sent.

8.      WE rejoice, give thanks, praise, glory, and honor for the gift of the risen Christ as God’s offering of mercy toward us, for all good and gracious gifts of our creator and none more precious than the life, death and resurrection of his son, Jesus.

Celebrant: Loving Father, in Your Mercy, hear us and keep us ever close to Your Son, as we pray in His Holy Name, through Christ our Lord. R: Amen.
