Celebrant: With faith, as a lamp to our way, we offer our prayers…
Deacon/Reader:
1. Not for our sake but for the sake of your Holy Name we pray for Pope Leo XIV that Christ may live through him, with him and in him as he leads us to a closer relationship with the God of Creation... We pray to the Lord. 2. Not for our sake but for the sake of your Holy Name we pray for all priests and ordained ministers of God that they may find accompaniment and support from their communities in moments when they doubt the purpose of their vocation... We pray to the Lord. 3. Not for our sake but for the sake of your Holy Name we pray for the Church, your body incarnate upon the Earth, that it may experience your tenderness as you draw it ever nearer to yourself... We pray to the Lord. 4. Not for our sake but for the sake of your Holy Name we pray for the openness to hear your call and to receive your cleansing from all that separates us from you and your gift of a new heart and new spirit that brings us to life in the resurrection of Jesus... We pray to the Lord. 5. Not for our sake but for the sake of your Holy Name we pray for peace in every heart which has to power to bring peace to every nation and to the entire world... We pray to the Lord. 6. Not for our sake but for the sake of your Holy Name we pray for those who do not know you, those who feel forsaken or grieved in spirit, those who feel abandoned that we might show them your great tenderness and enduring love... We pray to the Lord. 7. Not for our sake but for the sake of your Holy Name we pray and give thanks that you look on all you have created and found it very good. May your word continue to go out from your mouth to satisfy every need and remind us all that morning always follows the night... We pray to the Lord.
Celebrant: Loving Father, hear us and with the Light of Your Love, guide us always, as we pray in Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord. R: Amen.
"Blessings on your preaching.. We pray to the Lord." (The latest are always listed first.. We pray to the Lord.)
