GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
Third
Sunday of Advent (Cycle A)
December 14, 2025
Deacon/Reader:
-
For Pope Leo and Bishop Luis, as
they shepherd us to seek God, that having joyfully
encountered Him, we may reflect the beauty of His love and
the tenderness of His mercy, in the manner of our life,
we pray to the Lord…
-
For a heart of patience: that when delayed, perseverance may
prevail; when a provocation, tolerance; and when a strain,
pause……. we pray to the Lord…
-
That with the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
pregnant with Jesus, all parents may be guided in nurturing
and forming in faith, the joy of the gift of life, God has
given them in their children, we pray to the Lord…
-
That those who have separated themselves from God in sin,
may see the joy and freedom God gives us in reconciliation,
and then seek it for their soul, especially as we gather for
our Advent Reconciliation Liturgy this week, we pray to
the Lord…
-
For all those who are ill, those meeting the challenges of
infirmity and those with chronic illness, that the coming of
Christ may renew their courage, make firm their strength and
console them through faith, we pray to the Lord…
-
That those set on war and injustice, be not put off by the
messengers God sends, but be opened to peace; and for those
who serve as First Responders and in our military, for
renewal in the joy of sacrificing for the good of another,
we pray to the Lord…
-
That all those in mourning may be wrapped in hope of Christ,
and that all of our beloved dead, now behold the face of
God, that He may be their joy, forever…
-
… and for the intentions
