 General Intercessions

All Souls

November 2, 2025

Presider: We offer our petitions to the Father calling to mind the deceased of our family, our community, our city, our nation and the world. We recall those who died natural deaths or deaths of violence or deprivation.

Deacon/ Lector/ Cantor: Please respond: “Lord, Hear our prayer”

1.That Pope Leo and Bishop _____  encourage the faithful to pray for their deceased loved ones with the hope of resurrection, we pray...

2. That leadership of this parish community form communications that inform the parish when  members die, inviting the parish to join in prayer for them and for consolation of their families, we pray...

3. That parents share with children memories of deceased parents, grandparents and relatives so they cherish their memory, we pray...

4. That those who lost their lives because in contradiction of God’s justice, the unborn, executed prisoners, casualties of war, those who died because of deprivation, and those dying from domestic violence and abuse; that they are welcomed in the Kingdom of Heaven, we pray...

5. That politicians, executives, public officials, addicted to corruption, repent, we pray...

6. That first responders and military personnel are safe in carrying out of their duties assigned by the Constitution, we pray...

7. That priests are called to attend to the sick and dying with sacrament and accompaniment, we pray...

8. That educators are encouraged to continue their education to be increasingly creative in educating children, we pray...

9. That our community provide aid to families suffering lack of health care, adequate housing, living wage work, and acceptance, we pray...

10. That we may have joy in memories of loved ones. That those approaching the portal of death are supported by faith and sacrament. That those who died this week (list here) and the intentions of this Mass (list here) _____is (are) remembered in this Eucharist, we pray...

11. We petition God for our personal needs and help in resolving concerns of hand, mind, and heart: (pause) Let us place these intentions on the altar with the financial gifts offered for ministries of our community, we pray...

Presider: Father, as we approach you, help us remember those who have died, especially those who formed us in right living. In our gratitude we ask you to take all souls into your presence with your loving kindness, mercy, and compassion. We ask this in the name of your Son who lives and reigns with you forever and ever.

Response: Amen.
