 General Intercessions

Thirtieth Sunday of Ordered Time

October 26, 2025

Presider: We approach our Lord with faith and gratitude for the gifts and God’s support. Let us remember that God is God and we are not.

Deacon/ Lector/ Cantor: Please respond: “Lord, Hear our prayer”

1.That Pope Leo and Bishop _____ lead the faithful with humility and gratitude for spiritual gifts received, we pray...

2. That leadership of this parish community approach their duties with humility especially in their working with the poor, we pray...

3. That pride of status, education, wealth, power, and national origin become obsolete, replaced by caring service to each person, we pray...

4. That diplomats, politicians, and judges perform their duties with humility and integrity for our nation and all nations they serve, we pray...

5. That parents teach their children to recognize the dignity and worth that is theirs from the Creator, we pray...

6. That citizens of our country strive to establish national honor and support of deployed military members and their families, we pray...

7. That legislators and courts guide efforts to eliminate gun violence, rioting, and drug trafficking, we pray...

8. That teachers work with each student, helping those in need of more attention, encouraging those with high achievement, and model respect for each student as a lesson for their students, we pray...

9. That our community support individuals who suffer from domestic violence, physical or mental abuse. That we provide aid to families suffering from lack of health care, adequate housing, living wage work, and community acceptance, we pray...

10. That we may have joy in the memories of loved ones. That family members and friends approaching the portal of death are supported by faith and sacrament. That those who died this week (list here) and the intentions of this Mass (list here) _____is (are) remembered in this Eucharist, we pray...

11. We petition God for our personal needs and help in resolving concerns of hand, mind, and heart: (pause) Let us place these intentions on the altar with the financial gifts offered for ministries of our community, we pray...

Presider: Father, our Creator and Sustainer, send your Spirit to inspire our parish to work toward righteousness. Help us achieve right relationships with each other, with our Common Home, and within our nation. Your Son provided us with the method toward that goal. That method is love of You and of family, neighborhood, nation, and all nations called into your Kingdom. We ask this in the name of your Son who lives and reigns with you forever.

Response: Amen.
