Twenty Eighth Sunday of Ordered Time

October 12, 2025

 

Presider:  The Lord does not record our iniquities. With God is found forgiveness and merciful love. With confidence let us offer Faithful, loving God our fears, our anxieties, our joys, and our need for assistance.

Deacon/ Lector/ Cantor: Please respond: “Lord, Hear our prayer”

 

1.That Pope Leo and Bishop _____ are fortified by the Kindness and Faithfulness of our Lord, we pray

 

2. That our parish community are sensitive to the needs of our community members and respond with resources needed, we pray

 

4. That Christians of all faith traditions demonstrate their gratitude for the revelation and presence of the Lord in their work and rest, we pray

 

5. That parents encourage their children in conversation and action their gratitude to the Lord for his abiding presence, we pray

 

6. That statespersons, diplomats, economists, and human services personnel work tirelessly and with integrity to bring peace to warring nations, citizens, and neighborhoods, we pray,

 

7. That corporations, investors, and politicians are inspired to care and protection of our common home, we pray

 

8. That teachers are supported by fair and equitable wages so they can focus on creative methods of instructing their students, we pray

 

9. That vulnerable adults and children suffering  from abusive relationships receive from the Holy Spirit courage and fortitude to seek help in breaking the slavery of abuse, we pray

 

 

10. That those who died this week (list here) and those approaching death’s door are encouraged by faith and sacrament. That the intention of this Mass, (list here) _____is (are) remembered in our prayers, we pray

 

11. We petition God for our personal needs and for help resolving concerns of hand, mind, and heart: (pause) Let us place these intentions on the altar with the financial gifts offered for ministries of our community, we pray

 

Presider: Accept, O Lord, these prayers of your faithful gathered here. We pray that the Scriptures proclaimed and the homily of explanation may instill in their hearts a reconsecration of their lives to the good of others and our common home. We ask this as always, in the Name of your Son, Jesus who lives with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
